1. Different production processes
Plywood is a three-layer or multi-layer board like material made by rotary cutting wood segments into single boards or planing wood into thin pieces, and then bonding them with adhesive; Density board is a board made by separating wood or other plants into fibers, utilizing the interweaving between fibers and their inherent bonding substances, or applying adhesives under heating or pressure conditions.

2. Different product classifications
Plywood is divided into four categories based on its bonding strength: one is climate resistant and boiling water resistant plywood. This type of plywood has durability, resistance to boiling or steam treatment, and can be used outdoors; The second type of plywood is water-resistant plywood, which can be immersed in cold water and short-term hot water; The three types of plywood are moisture resistant plywood, which can be soaked in cold water for a short time and is suitable for indoor use at room temperature. Used for furniture and general building purposes; The four types of plywood are non moisture resistant plywood, which can be used indoors under normal conditions. Generally, the materials used for plywood include beech, basswood, ash, birch, elm, poplar, etc.
Density boards are divided into three categories based on their density: low-density boards, medium density boards, and high-density boards.

3. Performance purpose differentiation
Plywood is mainly used in building construction, interior wall decoration, door panels, etc. It has the characteristics of light weight and good flexibility on the exterior surface of the shape, such as curved areas; Density board is mainly used in furniture manufacturing, building materials, vehicle and ship manufacturing, packaging materials and other fields. The surface of plywood is not as smooth and even as that of density board; Compared to density board, plywood has a more stable material moisture content, and compared to density board, plywood has better moisture resistance and stronger nail holding force.
